For years I have always wondered what a good beauty routine was. After reading countless Dolly, Cosmo, Cleo and now Madison magazines. I am still working out what is good for my skin.
I still have my slip ups where I don’t wash my face twice a day or I don’t remove my make-up.
What should a beauty routine look like?
Well I am no expert, but for me it is:
Currently, I don’t do all of these. Though I do rub night cream in every night, and after showers that I have in the morning. I very rarely wear make-up knowing that it causes my skin to break out. And while I have a cleanser, scrub, toner and body creams I very rarely use them.
So, being my birthday in exactly a week, I may ask for a facial or some of Dr Lewinn’s products, as I really need to start making sure I look after my skin, especially as I start getting older! Because really, we only have one skin. So you had better love and look after the one you have!

I really think it depends on you skin as to wether you “need” to do all of the things above! I am one of the lucky ones.. I clean my face with a baby wipe I use johnsons baby lotion ( pink bottle) as my daily face cream.. I wear powder every day! I only use a scrub once a week, I do however use Lamer night cream that’s my only luxury…and I get micro dermabrasion every 2-3 months.. So I guess I’m pretty lucky that I don’t ever have pimples.
Hi there, I love all lotions & potions & beauty products!! I used to have bad skin until I started exfoliating more & it has made a huge difference! I use a gentle scrub everyday & moisturise with olay cream morning and night! I never put masks on as I always break out after it & do not use toners either! In winter I use rose hip oil on before I go to bed & never sleep with make up on! I use a dermabrasion scrub once a week to really make my skin feel super smooth – I feel exfoliating is the key to let any product on your skin to get in & really work or help!! :-)
i am a little inconsistent with my beauty routine – i’m either very very good or very very bad!
best tip i ever picked up was from a korean friend who told me in korea they gently massage a little oil into the skin on their face everyday….it’s great for circulation…
enjoy your facial if you get one for your bday!
