Last Sunday I was very bewildered when I received a comment from Amanda stating she had given us the Versatile Bloggers Award! Then a mere few days later Nic & Gill from Our Park Life honoured us with the award too!
The award says to share seven things about me, but I am going to list seven quotes on happiness {taken from the July issue of Madison, p.59-60}:
<3 “Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.” The Dalai Lama
<3 “Happiness is the consequence of personal effort.” Elizabeth Gilbert
<3 “Bad days happen to everyone, but when one happens to you, just keep doing your best and never let a bad day make you feel bad about yourself.” Big Bird
<3 “Happiness is regarded as passivity – no action, no achievement. And that’s very wrong. Happiness doesn’t just happen: you have to work at it.” Edward de Bono
<3 “Happiness has always been about reaching my personal goals, whatever they are. Taking risks and challenging myself.” Sarah Murdoch
<3 “Happiness belongs to the self-sufficient.” Aristotle
<3 “If you want your life to be more rewarding, you have to change the way you think.” Oprah Winfrey
Now to pass on the award to fifteen bloggers {they are meant to be newly found but I am choosing fifteen bloggers who spread the happiness}:
<3 Fat Mum Slim: Chantelle has the most amazing photographs and writes from the heart!
<3 Sunny Mummy: Stacey is one of the most bright and bubbly people I have ever met {and I am truly glad I did get to meet her! If you are a mum and you aren’t a fan of her amazing site you are missing out on some very strong rays!}
<3 Ah, The Possibilities: Sarah has one amazingly uplifting blog, the photographs and writing pull you in immediately!
<3 Confessions of a Jaded Gym Junkie: Jaded Vixen {who is not sharing her name until she reaches 100 followers!} also has amazing writing, but it is the vibe that her blog gives off that makes you continue to go back for more!
<3 Breathe Gently: Whenever I click on Aly’s site I am instantly calm, must be the images. Her writing like many of the others is so honest and true that is hard to not read her blog!
<3 Joy and Me: I love to visit Lisa’s site {she is also going to be on our team!} I cannot express using words how amazing, gorgeous and beautiful her site, photographs and writing are!
<3 Lisa and Mini G: Another of Lisa’s sites, and this one is precious. The honesty and truth that comes out through her writing will leave you wanting more and more!
<3 Melcontent: Our lovely Saturday photographer has a fantastic blog where there is powerful writing to show you her thoughts and feelings, incredible photographs that take you in and even posts that tell you what Mel is grateful for!
<3 Our Park Life: Gill and Nic {who yes, also gave us the award} have just joined the team, their blog is a lovely piece that will have you laughing out loud!
<3 That Random Leila: Leila is one bright and cheery girl {who writes about love, health&fitness, and career!} and her blog is just the same! {note: Leila’s blog is currently on a hiatus x}
<3 LaLaLondon: Jade, like so many of the others I already listed, writes from the heart and just quietly, goes on the most amazing trips and I love seeing all her breathtaking photographs! {She is our finance and travel writer!}
<3 Life’s Creative Journal: I absolutely heart Talia’s blog. She has one of the best creative based blogs and when you mix it with her personal life it just explodes with awesomeness! {Talia is our homemade specialist!}
<3 Science@home: Deb {our parenting writer} has a lovely blog that looks at all things science {and with a bit of extra activities and family life added in!} All her posts are a breath of fresh air!
<3 Days Life These…: Mez {our reviewer} has a fantastic blog which I have just recently found. Her posts are funny and light and are full of happiness!
<3 Hello Owl: Danielle {fashion guru} has such a gorgeous blog. I would be lying if I didn’t love to see the baby bump {because I do!} but I visit for other reasons too! If blogs had auras her blog would win with the best. I can’t put my finger on it but Danielle has created a very happy place to be!
Now, you are meant to tell all the lovely people you gave the award to. So comments will be abound.
Hope you are all having a fantastic Sunday! Be sure to head back later this afternoon for my five ‘Happy Moments’!

You are so lovely and thoughtful. What a beautiful award and I love the quotes you chose!
This is a gorgeous shout out – I may just need to go and visit some of the blogs you mentioned now! x
Thankyou! So many nice new blogs to visit :)
I love the de Bono quote, I think it’s very true – happiness is something to be worked at, it doesn’t just come if you sit and wait for it.
